FORCE RETENTION
#

Force retention refers to a material’s ability to sustain its mechanical force over a defined time interval. All thermoplastic materials that were tested exhibited a rapid decrease in force within the first hour. Zendura VIVA is engineered to deliver higher sustained forces than other tested materials*, ensuring effective tooth movement throughout the wear period.

Sustained Force
#

Zendura VIVA demonstrated consistently higher force retention (15%-25%) over a 6-day test interval when compared to Zendura FLX. Zendura VIVA continues to maintain higher proportion of initial force relative to FLX.

TENSILE MODULUS
#

The tensile modulus (Young’s modulus) measures how stiff a material is when stretched. A lower tensile modulus indicates a material that is more flexible and elastic—an important characteristic for aligners, as it influences how effectively they could deliver orthodontic forces to teeth. Materials with lower tensile modulus tend to have better resistance to cracking.

Tensile Modulus of Thermoformed Aligner Materials*
#

Zendura VIVA exhibits the lowest tensile modulus among all tested materials* contributing to improved resilience and patient comfort.

Testimonials
#

“We now use Zendura VIVA for many of our aligners and also as specialty aligner for finishing and for challenging teeth movements. I’m also using it for hybrid cases.” — Dr. Michael Woods, DDS, MSD

“I like Zendura VIVA a lot and sometimes use it as a retainer for adult patients and also kids if they want a more comfortable retainer.” — Dr. Rooz Khosravi, DDS, MSD

“Zendura VIVA is an amazing aligner material and my patients love it, too. I now use it for the majority of my aligners for all stages, and it also allows me to treat a much wider range of cases with aligners.” — Dr. David Kemp, DDS, MS
